You have rights at work! Regardless of your immigration status, the MCTF can assist you if your employer violates your right to:
- Be paid for all hours worked
- Be paid no less than the state minimum wage: $15.50 per hour
- Be paid overtime when you work more than 8 hours in one day and double-time
when you work more than 12 hours in one day - Be paid overtime and double-time rates when you work 7 consecutive work days
- Meal & rest breaks
- Regularly scheduled paydays
- Be reimbursed for work materials
- Be paid by check with itemized deduction statement and sufficient funds
- Immediate medical attention paid by your employer when injured on the job
- Health and safety equipment and training
- A workplace free of harassment, intimidation or retaliation for defending your rights
